Ma grossesse also allows health and social services facilities to better plan the services needed for all pregnant women and newborns in Quebec.

Réseau des Centres de ressources périnatales du Québec (RCRPQ)

The Réseau des Centres de ressources périnatales du Québec (RCRPQ) brings together the Perinatal Resource Centres (CRPs) of Quebec. CRPs are community-based agencies that offer perinatal activities and services for parents and future parents. They give parents a helping hand as they adjust to and transition through each new stage, from before conception, to pregnancy and birth and until their baby reaches the age of two.

Tummy Talks

Tummy Talks is an organization that connects prenatal experts in their field with expectant parents. Their mandate is to bring pregnancy and newborn resources to parents-to-be in order to help educate and prepare them for the new and exciting phase in their life. They offer a free four-part prenatal series for expectant parents in Quebec that help parents prepare for labour, birth, and the care of their baby.

Having a Baby is a Canadian website developed by the Canadian Association of Midwives (CAM), the national organization representing midwives and the profession of midwifery in Canada, which provides resources to navigate preconception through postpartum, and every step along the way.

La Maison Bleue

The mission of La Maison Bleue is to reduce social inequalities by helping pregnant women living in a situation of vulnerability. They promote and foster the optimal development of children, from their mother’s womb until the age of 5. La Maison Bleue helps families awaiting a child and that are in need of support due to living in a context of vulnerability: poverty, a situation of abuse, violence, neglect, addiction, precarious immigration status, mental health problems, teen pregnancy etc.

Perinatal Loss

Parents OrphelinsQuébec Association of Parents Grieving from Pregnancy and Infant Loss

Parents Orphelins, the Québec Association of Parents Grieving from Pregnancy and Infant Loss, is a non-profit organization that represents all the parents who had a pregnancy that ended in the death of a baby, which occurred during pregnancy, during birth or in the first year of life. Administered by and for parents grieving from pregnancy and infant loss, the mission of Parents Orphelins is to bring together parents going through pregnancy and infant grief, residing in Québec, so they can help each other while enjoying complementary services to those found in health care services.

Healing Together Support Group

Healing Together is a free evening online support group for women dealing with miscarriage, still birth or infant death. Connect with other women who have experienced a similar loss. Feel comfortable expressing your sorrow and pain: share your experiences, talk about your baby, feel understood, work through the grieving process and, find hope. A different topic is discussed at each monthly meeting. If you would prefer to just come and listen, you are welcome to do that too. Join the online support group at any time and participate in as many meetings as you wish.

Poussières d’étoiles Support Group

Poussière d'étoiles  is a free support group for women and men experiencing perinatal loss. Parents can share their stories and express their feelings without fear of judgment and in complete confidentiality. It provides an opportunity for bereaved parents to take time to reminisce, exchange ideas and not feel alone. The support group provides support, information, comfort and assistance to mothers, fathers and families, while respecting their values and needs. The service is open to all parents who have experienced: a miscarriage or a clear egg, an ectopic pregnancy, pregnancy termination following the discovery of abnormalities in the baby, the birth of a stillborn baby and, the death of a baby in the first year of life. This support is offered to parents through their bereavement, up to two years after the event.

Préma-Québec

Préma-Québec works on a regular basis in all six neonatal intensive care units in Quebec. Caring for Kids

Caring for Kids provides parents with information about their child’s health and well-being. Because the site is developed by the Canadian Paediatric Society (CPS)—the voice of more than 3,600 Canadian paediatricians—you can be sure the information is reliable. Most documents on Caring for Kids are based on CPS position statements, which are created by their expert committees and approved by the Board of Directors. Other documents are developed and reviewed by the CPS Public Education Advisory Committee, which is made up of practicing paediatricians from across Canada.
